Summary
The UMP is an organization affiliated with the army. They are Reos’ police of sorts, patrolling their assigned areas on a Reosean’s back or sending groups of Reoseans out for the same task. The UMP usually scouts pullers or strong, talented runners.
It is known that many Reoseans that didn’t make it as Royal Guards end up enlisting for the UMP and serve their country as a patrolling unit. Each continent has a varying number of members in their individual patrol divisions, the strongest one residing in Warrenfall, the biggest in Thedale. The UMP units are employed in crowd control, riots, but also trained in search and rescue. Daily, units are sent to patrol both populated and wilderness areas, regularly reporting any odd events and should conflict arise, the UMP is usually first to arrive and works as a mass deterrent against crime.
The Reosean members are equipped with tack similar to the standard riding one, but advanced for patrol use. Face and leg protection is a must among the units, usually built from strong leather or light-weight metals. Each saddle is equipped with a bag containing smoke bombs, a first aid kid and metal handcuffs at the minimum. The human members are equipped with a sword, a wooden baton and a smoke bombs.
