The Druids"As I ventured deeper into the underground realm, my steps echoing against the cool stone walls, I felt a sense of awe wash over me. I had journeyed through the lands of the Forgotten, the Brutes, and the Tranquil, each holding its own secrets. Now, I stood at the threshold of the Druids' domain.
Life with the Druids was unlike anything I had experienced before. Their home, nestled amidst towering stone pillars adorned with glowing plants, felt like a scene from a fantastical tale. These plants, emitting a soft, ethereal light, illuminated the underground world with their otherworldly beauty. The Druids, with their gentle movements and deep connection to nature, seemed to blend seamlessly with their surroundings. Yet, beneath their tranquil facade, I sensed a tension—a rift between them and the other clans who exploited rather than nurtured the earth. In the heart of their sanctuary, I witnessed the Druids' tireless efforts to cultivate the underground ecosystem. They tended to crops and searched for medicinal herbs, their mission a beacon of hope amidst the darkness of exploitation. Communication with the creatures of the earth was the essence of the Druids' existence. They spoke to the roots that intertwined with the soil, listened to the whispers of cave-dwelling creatures, and sought to understand the language of the land. As I stood among them, I felt a longing to become part of their world—to learn their ways and join them in their quest to preserve and protect the underground realm. But I knew that gaining their trust would not be easy. It would require patience, respect, and a deep reverence for the earth and all its inhabitants." -- Explorer Note ##, found in the Beneath, written by an Unknown Explorer |

Clan Trivia |
The Druids have made it their mission to improve the underground ecosystem to provide more sustenance and medicinal remedies for their fellow kin. However, other clans have shown a tendency to exploit resources rather than conserve them, leading to a growing rift between the Druids and most other clans.
They dwell within massive stone pillars, which are covered with an array of exotic plants that emit otherworldly bioluminescence. These plants have taken root on the pillars, forming a thick, sturdy structure almost akin to wood, which the Druids use to construct their homes and create various ornamental items. |
♦ The clan has a tradition known as the "Moonlit Vigil," during which members gather under the light of the full moon to offer gratitude to the Matriarch and seek guidance.
♦ In the center of the Druid’s territory stands an ancient tree known as ‘The Oracle’. This tree has words from a dead language etched into its bark, and they glow with an otherworldly light. The tree is said to hold the ‘collective knowledge of the woodland creatures’, and is a very significant figure in the Druid’s culture. They have a group of individuals who are tasked with caring for the tree, known as ‘Guardians of the Wood’, these Reoseans are the only ones allowed near the tree unsupervised and carry with them one of the tree’s dormant seeds as proof of the title. ♦ Clan members often adorn themselves with jewelry made from naturally occurring gems, believing that these stones carry the essence of the earth's energy. ♦ The Druids celebrate the changing seasons with elaborate festivals, such as the "Blossom Revelry" in spring and the "Harvest Fete" in autumn, where they perform dances and rituals to honor the cycles of nature. ♦ Druid initiates undergo a transformative journey called the "Path of the Elemental Harmony," where they must spend a week alone in the wilderness, attuning themselves to the spirits of earth, air, fire, and water. |
